PARK STRATEGIES ANNOUNCES
TAIPEI GRAND OPENING

Park Strategies announces the grand opening of its Taiwan office. The kickoff event will feature high-ranking local figures and business leaders, all toasting the anticipated success of former U.S. Senator Alfonse M. D'Amato - the founder and Managing Director of Park Strategies, LLC. Park's opening of a Taiwan office, its first-ever outside the United States, marks an important milestone, positioning the firm as a strategic advisory gateway between the United States, Taiwan, and the rest of Asia. For those wishing to enter, or enhance their positions in the Taiwan market, Park Strategies can serve as a valued partner.
Park Strategies is one of the most sought after public policy and business development firms in the United States today, providing strategic advice and consulting services to market leaders in fields as diverse as telecommunications, healthcare, transportation, financial services, defense, energy, government, and construction. With existing offices in New York City, Washington, D.C., Albany, N.Y., Buffalo, N.Y., and Long Island, N.Y., Park Strategies proudly adds Taipei, Taiwan to its growing network.
Given Asia's continued development, D'Amato said it's only natural that his newest office would be on this continent. And given Taiwan's receptivity to foreign products, services and investment - not to mention its shared values and history with the United States - it's only fitting that Park Strategies would locate its first overseas office in Taipei. What's more, recent relaxations in rules on cross-Strait travel, trade and investment have again made Taiwan's economy fully engaged with the world outside. Taiwan's recent accession to the World Trade Organization's Agreement on Government Procurement in 2009 also caught D'Amato's eye. To sum it up, he said, "Taiwan - Asia's first Economic Tiger - is back, front and center, better than ever."
When asked what value Park Strategies can provide to clients in Taiwan, Park Strategies Vice President Sean King said, "Considering our firm's reach and relationships in Taiwan, whether it's procurement support, or just finding the right partner, we can counsel clients on various business, policy, and regulatory issues. We save clients invaluable time and resources, all the while helping them toward their ultimate goals."
As head of Park's Asia Group, King has long led a push to raise the firm's profile in Taiwan, and is also a highly regarded source on Asian current affairs. He frequently appears on CNCB-Asia, Bloomberg, and is a paid contributor to Japan's NHK-World. King previously served as Senior Advisor for Asia in the U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service at the United States Department of Commerce, and has also worked for both Citibank and PricewaterhouseCoopers in Singapore. He first visited Asia when he led a February 1997 trade mission to Taiwan on behalf of the New York State Department of Economic Development. Of being back in Taiwan, King said, "I'm thrilled to be helping Park Strategies clients, old and new, make the most of Taiwan's true market potential. We also look forward to being of tremendous service to Asian firms looking to tap the United States."
