Park Strategies is a leading Albany-based government relations and strategic business consulting firm with offices located in Albany, New York City, Long Island, and Syracuse. We are a team of experienced professionals with a wide range of subject matter expertise across various industries, including healthcare, transportation, financial services and insurance, construction, housing/real estate, energy, racing and gaming, and information technology.

We are seeking an experienced lobbyist with knowledge and background for our growing healthcare policy and budget team in our Albany office. The ideal candidate will have more than five (5) years of experience in lobbying state government, working within state government and/or the state legislature, with a focus on healthcare policy and financing. Work experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.

Salary Range:
$140,000–$200,000 depending on experience, skills, abilities, and book of business.

Responsibilities:
Advocacy and Lobbying:
Representing our clients’ interests before lawmakers, the Governor’s office, and state agencies.

Client-Related Policy Monitoring and Analysis:
Tracking and analyzing proposed legislation, regulations, and public policies that may impact clients and working with clients to respond to legislative proposals or regulatory issues that may affect them.

Communication and Strategy Development:
Working with our team to develop and execute strategies to influence public policy outcomes.

Coalition Building:
Working with industry groups, non-profits, and other organizations to form coalitions that can collectively advocate for shared interests.

Event and Meeting Coordination:
Promoting client interests by assisting them with organizing and/or participating in events, fundraisers, meetings, and conferences with government representatives and policy influencers.

Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred) and 5-10 years of experience.

The candidate needs to have an understanding of both the legislative and budgetary processes. Knowledge of social media and its applications is a plus.

Salary Range:
$60,000–$75,000 commensurate with experience and a generous benefits package.
